Position Summary:
The Dealer Registration Clerk is responsible for ensuring smooth and accurate registration of dealers for auction sales, both in-person and online. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle financial and administrative tasks efficiently. The Dealer Registration Clerk serves as a key point of contact for dealers, providing assistance with registration, payments, documentation, and account inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Register dealers for sales (in person and online), ensuring accuracy of information and compliance with auction policies.
• Verify, update, and input dealer bank and financial information into the system.
• Work the front counter, including taking payments, issuing gate passes, answering phones, and assisting with dealer inquiries.
• Manage communication with dealers through collection calls, emails, and mailing of statements or notices.
• Maintain accurate records of dealer accounts, payments, and registration documents.
• Scan and organize paperwork to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service to all dealers and visitors.
• Support other auction office functions as needed to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, finance, or office administration preferred.
• Previous experience in customer service, office administration, or finance-related roles (preferred, not required).
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn auction software systems.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with banking processes and handling financial transactions is a plus.
Work Environment:
• Office/front counter setting within a fast-paced auction environment.
• Interaction with dealers, staff, and customers in person, by phone, and electronically.
