Job Summary
The Drafter role is a mid-level, full-time, permanent position. This position is fully-remote, allowing you to work from home Monday - Friday each week. While working alongside a team of experienced drafters and providing guidance to entry-level drafters, this position works closely with the engineering team and project managers to draft and design high voltage electrical systems. Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Mastery of multiple client requirements in drafting.
- Draft/design wiring and layout diagrams for electrical systems.
- Draft technical details taking direction from electrical engineers and designers.
- Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures.
- Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Drafting systems to prepare drawings for engineering review.
- Create and store drawings electronically.
- Prepare engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications as it relates to high voltage electrical systems.
- Print, bind, and ship design packages to clients.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
Required Skills and Abilities
- Experience using AutoCAD and Bentley Microstation required
- Experience drafting for electrical engineering preferred
- Extremely detailed oriented
- Clear and concise communication both verbally and in writing
- An assessment in AutoCAD and Microstation will be a part of the application process- more details will be provided should your application be chosen for consideration.
Education and Experience
- Associate Degree in Engineering CAD/Design required, Engineering or Engineering Tech degree strongly preferred.
- 3+ years industry experience in drafting using AutoCAD and Bentley Microstation required.
