The Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate all requested repairs, execute a Preventative Maintenance program for the Hutchins, TX facility, and maintain a Preventative Maintenance system to schedule and tack upkeep of all systems and equipment in order to achieve a 98% uptime in all equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor will also perform a variety of skilled duties in one or more of the building trades such as basic electrical, plumbing, custodial, painting or other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining the building and will be responsible for the supervision of the maintenance technicians, custodial staff, and contracted services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a PM program to track, schedule and forecast maintenance necessary to maintain the building, equipment and grounds. Perform scheduled PM tasks within a two-week window of the scheduled date.
  • Maintain a Maintenance Request database to log, schedule, and respond to requests for building repairs. Schedule work to be completed based on priorities, manpower, tools, and equipment. 
  • Monitor and sign off on work performed by contractors such as janitorial services, landscaping, snow removal, any building trades, etc.
  • Assist and performs semi-skilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance, repair, and construction tasks in the upkeep of the Distribution Center building.
  • Inspect properties and communicate with management regarding proper grounds keeping, general cleanup, and maintenance, to make recommendations for improvement.
  • Work through management to correct operational deficiencies through identification, training and reporting. Successfully develop distribution center partnerships and work with business partners to accomplish relevant business goals and objectives including cost reduction targets.
  • Support management with miscellaneous projects as requested (phone calls, research, contacting vendors, etc.)
  • Manage team members to ensure compliance with policies/procedures, process improvement, and drive team member initiatives to create and promote a team environment.
  • Maintain, refine and/or improve processes within the area to emphasize safety and quality commitments for the department and ensure 100% compliance with the department’s processes and procedures
  • Serve as "on call" contact for afterhours alarms.

Education, Experience and Other Qualifications:

  • High school diploma; College degree preferred
  • No less than 5 years of building maintenance experience
  • Proficient in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar suite
  • Ability to train individuals
  • Dedicated to business and willing to adjust schedule and hours as needed to manage department
  • Leadership and supervisory experience and understanding of management principles
  • Understanding of general work practices in warehousing and distribution center processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of coaching and counseling of staff
  • Ability to write simple reports, use a computer, and present information to groups of managers.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and blueprints.
