KEY DUTIES:
- Provide direction and allocate resources to the maintenance department and custodial staff.
- Ensure the PMWare Preventive Maintenance program is carried out correctly, on schedule, and in a manner conducive to the proper upkeep of our equipment.
- Provide the maintenance resources to respond rapidly to unplanned downtime that is due to equipment failure.
- Provide the maintenance resources to respond rapidly, and cost effectively, to maintenance requests as they are submitted by departments and/or Management.
- Direct custodial staff, and supply resources necessary, to keep building and grounds in world class condition.
- Direct plant engineering team to perform root cause analysis and oversee CAPEX projects.
- Support major capital projects.
- Oversee the 5S compliance for the maintenance shop and custodial areas.
- Maintain personnel records and conduct performance and wage evaluations for the maintenance technicians and custodial staff.
- Read and interpret machine & electrical schematics in order to properly diagnose and direct troubleshooting efforts.
- Maintain maintenance and downtime records to help support continuous improvement efforts.
- Oversee projects involving outside contractors and ensure ISN compliance.
- Responsible for maintaining a budget, including receiving quotes on outside services every 3-5 years and establishing relationships with all outside service providers.
- Schedule and oversee all required inspections.
- Ensure all training is completed such as safety training, LOTO, Arc Flash, etc.
- Provide direction and lead all emergency evacuation procedures.
- Manage spare parts in inventory software in addition to managing parts inventory audits.
- Will conduct himself/herself in a manner consistent with supporting and promoting our KEYS of Success of our team. Those being: Safety, Work Ethic, Integrity and Positive Attitude.
- Perform other reasonable and similar duties as assigned.
- Candidate must be available “on call” during all shifts on each day of the week.
QUALIFICATIONS: The “ideal” candidate will possess the following skills:
- Minimum two-year associate's degree in mechanical or electrical maintenance complimented by at least 5 years of practical experience doing maintenance/engineering work.
- In lieu of above, a person may possess a four-year bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering complimented by at least 3 years of practical experience.
- Qualified candidates will have an extensive knowledge of Machine Reliability and Preventive Maintenance.
- Qualified candidates will have demonstrated good communication and organizational skills.
- Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated track record of leading work groups or teams.
- Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated working knowledge of electronics and PLC logic and controllers.
- Qualified candidates will possess an above average working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair.
- Qualified candidates will be Microsoft Office and AutoCAD 2000 literate.
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
COMPENSATION: This is a salaried position with pay based on previous experience and training.
