Retail Wine Sales Associate - Seasonal bei Acker

Acker, the oldest and most respected wine shop in America, is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Seasonal Wine Retail Associates to join our team during the busy holiday season. This role is ideal for individuals with knowledge of wine, retail, and providing exceptional service. Associates will assist customers with product selection, maintain store presentation and support sales during peak periods.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers when they walk through the door or over the phone.
• Ring up sales and arranging for delivery or pick-up of the customer’s order if needed.
• Build rapport through conversation and honest recommendations.
• Assist in special events and in-store tastings.
• Support Fine and Rare and Business Development managers and team members.
• Assist in setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor.
• Write wine and spirits descriptions and shelf talkers.
• Invite customers to join wine club.

Requirements

• Previous retail wine sales experience required.
• Appreciation of and passion for the Wine & Spirits industry.
• Sommelier experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft based application, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Customer Service focused with the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
• High-energy, team player with excellent communication skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-pasted environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Regularly lifts and moves cases of wine and spirits, up to fifty (50) pounds.
