We are seeking a forward-thinking and influential Director of Applications to lead our team of Product Managers and technical experts in delivering high-impact application solutions and business transformation initiatives. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role plays a critical part in defining and executing our enterprise technology strategy, bridging business needs with technical solutions, and guiding a growing portfolio of modern platforms and digital capabilities.
This role requires a strategic leader with strong technical acumen, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, and demonstrated success in business-facing leadership. The Director will oversee a team of 15–30 associates, manage external vendor relationships, and drive the delivery of innovative business solutions that support growth, efficiency, and operational excellence.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Serve as a key member of the Technology Leadership Team, collaborating closely with the CIO and executive leadership.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Product Management and Business Applications team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Build strong partnerships with business leaders to define a multi-year application roadmap aligned with strategic objectives.
- Oversee planning, delivery, and optimization of enterprise applications, including SaaS and cloud-hosted platforms (e.g., Procore, CRM, BI, RPA, iPaaS).
- Champion and drive business process transformation, using methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, Scrum, Lean or Six Sigma to identify and execute improvement opportunities.
- Define and implement application development and integration practices, standards, and tools.
- Manage relationships with external service providers and ensure quality and cost-effective delivery.
- Own project delivery and support activities, including budget management, resource allocation, and vendor governance.
- Ensure alignment of technology solutions with enterprise architecture and data management standards, including Master Data Management (MDM).
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP, Six Sigma) preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in application development and systems integration, with at least 8+ years in a business-facing leadership role.
- Proven success managing and growing technical teams, including business analysts and external vendors.
- Strong background in the delivery of enterprise applications, preferably within complex, multi-business-unit environments.
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
- Deep understanding of process improvement frameworks (Agile, Scrum, DevOps, Lean, Six Sigma).
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of project/development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) and enterprise data integration.
- Expertise in web and mobile application development.
- Proven success delivering Business Intelligence solutions that drive business outcomes.
- Budget ownership experience, with strong financial and operational management capabilities.
