The Accounts Payable Clerk will be part of Solotech’s finance team and will be responsible for basic accounting functions to include accounts payable. They will assist in creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help Solotech achieve its objectives. Be an ambassador of our people, our culture, and our core values. Must be willing and able to travel to Canada for periodic training.
Your day will look like this:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
- Prepares invoices for payment by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
- Maintain accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
- Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
- Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your profile:
- High School graduate
- Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred
- Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance a plus
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting with an emphasis in Accounts Payable
- US Passport will be required to travel
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
- Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping software programs
- Rigor and keen attention to detail
- Accounting knowledge (General entries, month end reconciliation)
- Flexibility to manage frequent and unforeseen changes
- Organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities and work under pressure in a context of tight deadlines
- Team spirit and autonomy
- Be passionate and engaged
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Adaptability and interest in being part of a growing organization
