Position: Senior Account Director – Pharma (Data & AI Services)
Location: Boston, MA (Onsite)
Employment: Fulltime (Exempt)
Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Director with a strong pharma background and expertise in Big Data and Data Analytics to lead client engagement and strategic account growth for our Data and AI services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with pharmaceutical and life sciences clients, leveraging Big Data, Advanced Analytics, and AI-driven solutions to support R&D, clinical development, regulatory compliance, and commercialization. This role requires expertise in relationship management, strategic consulting, and enterprise account leadership within the pharma industry.
Key Result Areas and Activities
Drive Pharma Engagements: Develop and expand strategic relationships with leading pharmaceutical companies, identifying opportunities to deliver Big Data, Analytics, and AI-driven solutions.
Client Relationship Management: Build trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders (C-level executives, R&D leaders, clinical operations, commercial, and IT) to enable long-term account growth.
Strategic Account Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise pharma accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat engagements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with delivery, product, and solution teams to design and deliver data-driven solutions tailored to pharma clients.
Industry Expertise & Advisory: Leverage knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, clinical trials, R&D processes, and commercialization challenges to provide consultative insights.
Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain a strong pipeline of pharma opportunities, forecast revenue accurately, and report key performance metrics to leadership.
Essential Skills
15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector with a focus on enterprise account management, Big Data, Data Analytics, or strategic consulting.
Strong understanding of pharma operations such as R&D, clinical trials, regulatory compliance, manufacturing, and commercial analytics.
Proven expertise in Big Data, Data Analytics, and AI solutions applied in pharma (drug discovery, clinical development, patient analytics, supply chain optimization).
Proven success in managing executive-level relationships within large pharma organizations.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and align solutions with client needs.
Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, industry forums, and workshops.
Desirable Skills
Experience in driving digital transformation initiatives in pharma organizations.
Knowledge of pharma data standards, compliance (21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA), and regulatory frameworks.
Familiarity with pharma data platforms, AI products, and cloud ecosystems.
Strong professional network within top pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
