Job Summary
Stratus Team is currently seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in either our Pittsburgh, Atlanta, or Cincinnati offices. Stratus provides civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering; architecture; surveying; and subsurface utility designation services to a wide variety of public and private clients. Primary Essential Functions
- Manage project design, including technical quality, people, process, cost, and schedule
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and other engineering/architecture disciplines on complex projects. An ideal candidate may also be ready to step into a Project Management role themselves
- Supervise and/or prepare design documents, specifications, and cost estimates
- Detailed design engineering and QA/QC checks
- Prepare studies and reports
- Site investigations and construction administration
- Identify and manage client deliverables and expectations
- Permitting and coordination with federal, state, and local municipalities
- Communicate with a high level of professionalism with clients, sub-consultants, and office staff
Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ Years experience
- Engineering Degree (B.S. Mechanical, Chemical)
- Understanding and experience with Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Travel up to 50%
- Experience with MOC
- Experience attending or leading Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
Preferred:
- PSV / Vacuum Valve Sizing / Verification
- Hydraulic calculation experience
- Orifice Sizing / Verification
- Control Valve and Regulator Sizing / Verification
- Cause & Effect Development
- Process Simulation software experience (FATHOM, AFT Arrow, ProMax)
- Relevant experience with natural gas, ammonia, oil and/or petrochemical processes
- PHA Experience (HAZOP, LOPA)
- Experience with code/standards relevant to process safety (NFPA, API, OSHA)
- Dispersion analysis experience
- Facility Siting experience
- SOP Development and Lockout Tagout Experience
- PSI Updates
- Plant / Facility Risk Assessment
