Production Supervisor (Night Shift) bei Versatex Building Products

Position Summary

Versatex Building Products is seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations during evening shifts. This role is critical in ensuring team productivity, maintaining quality and safety standards, and promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all activities during the night shift.
• Assign tasks and ensure production and quality goals are achieved.
• Enforce all safety protocols and respond promptly to incidents.
• Manage attendance, approve time-off, and coordinate scheduling.
• Provide coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace in alignment with 5S standards.
• Ensure all team members are trained and compliant with company procedures.
• Manage material flow and oversee extrusion operations.

Success Measures

Within 90 Days:

• Complete training on Versatex systems, safety policies, and procedures.
• Build strong communication and trust with your team and leadership.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of shift operations and responsibilities.
• Gain solid knowledge of Versatex products, materials, and quality standards.
• Independently manage the shift without escalation to senior leadership.

By 6 Months:

• Develop working knowledge of equipment mechanics and processes.
• Confidently run production lines and resolve issues in real time.
• Show measurable improvements in safety, productivity, or quality performance.
• Implement at least one cost-saving or process improvement initiative.
• Complete employee evaluations and provide consistent feedback.
• Effectively manage and resolve personnel or operational conflicts.

By 1 Year:

• Consistently meet or exceed shift performance expectations.
• Minimize downtime and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Serve as a recognized leader for night shift operations.
• Mentor and develop a team lead or backup supervisor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and systems such as Core and UltiPro.
• Strong attendance and reliability track record.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Knowledge of extrusion operations and material handling processes.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
• Proficient in using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.

Work Details

• Shift: Night shift – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, operating on a 2/2/3 schedule (flexibility may be required)
• Environment: Manufacturing floor; appropriate PPE is required
• Reports To: Senior Shift Supervisor / Plant Superintendent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets.  The annual salary for this position ranges from $77,000 in our lowest market up to $80,000 in our highest market, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.  The pay for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
