Sigvaris is currently looking for a Temporary Employee to work as a Raw Materials Inventory Specialist in our Raw Materials Department in Peachtree City, GA.  As a leading compression solution provider, we are not just a company that manufactures products.  We are a global team on a mission to help people feel their best.  Reporting directly to the Materials Manager, the Raw Materials Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing raw material inventory for all production departments using appropriate methods and procedures.


SHIFT:

     • 1st: 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.


LENGTH of ASSIGNMENT:

     • This temporary assignment will last for about a month or two.


PAY:

     • $18.25 per hour


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     • Manages all incoming raw material inventory following ISO Work Instruction 3.070.

     • Must inspect incoming materials for damages as well as the proper paperwork.  All shipments will also have an attached  "packing slip" which will be used to verify that the product count is correct.  Only then can the Bill of Lading be signed  releasing the products to our warehouse.

     • Operators then may move the products to the "incoming inspection area."  Once the products are in the proper location, the packing slip must be signed and dated and then placed in the designated location.  Once these steps are completed the QA department must be notified so that the products can begin the process of being received.

     • Maintains Raw Material inventory levels of all production departments.

     • Assists with physical inventory counts - Year End and Daily Random Cycle counts as instructed in accordance with set procedures and planning schedules.

     • Operates all forklifts and Wave machines in accordance with safety procedures.  NOTE: Must be a licensed operator per Sigvaris Safety Requirements.

     • All employees are assigned a 6S cleaning handbook along with a patterned schedule to ensure that their areas are kept clean.  These schedules will be assigned to you weekly and bi-weekly.

     • The process of receiving by QA will involve validation of quantity and/or weight of all incoming raw materials by the Raw Material Inventory Specialists.

     • Once received, all products will be labeled and moved to their correct location.

     • All employees will be required to attend monthly safety meetings with their supervisor.  Each month, we will cover a different topic, all of which are designed to help ensure the safest possible working environment.

     • Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment.

          o Interacts with external and internal customers in a timely manner conducive to continued positive relationships.

          o Displays patience, courtesy and tact; demonstrates flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to cooperate while working with others or in place of others as necessary.

     • Demonstrates effective communication methods.

          o Materials Manager and/or appropriate management staff are kept informed of developments affecting their functions.

          o Responds quickly to all oral and written communications.

          o Maintains and encourages an open line of communication with both internal and external customers.

          o Accurately and legibly presents written data to affected internal/external customer.

     • Follows established company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SIGVARIS policies, industry standards, ISO 13485 standards, 6S and Lean Manufacturing, and Federal, State and local laws.

     • Assists with the implementation of Lean/Kaizen initiatives or events in the department.

     • Follows all work instructions, creates and maintains accurate records to meet all internal and external requirements to support the SIGVARIS Quality System and Quality Policy.

     • Accurately performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.

Requirements


EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE:

     • A high school diploma or equivalent education and experience.

     • Prefer someone with a minimum of one to two years of experience in the warehouse and manufacturing environment.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

     • Regularly required to sit or stand for long periods of time.

     • Ability to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, bend, lift or climb.

     • Required to lift light weights 30 to 50 pounds.

     • Finger dexterity and hand coordination required.

     • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.

     • Ability to work in cold in the winter and heat during the summer months.

     


You will paid through a temporary agency and will be required by that agency to successfully complete a background check and drug test in advance of hire.
