Under the direction of the Director of Data Management, the Data Analyst ensures timely maintenance of all donor records in Raiser's Edge. Fosters and maintains mutually respectful relationships with donors, priests, parish staff and volunteers. Assists with execution and administration of appeal special events and projects as assigned.

 Essential duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages donor data integrity by overseeing timely updates, synchronization processes and quality assurance with data into Raiser's Edge.
  • Designs, runs, and optimizes queries; analyzes data for accuracy and trends; and develops reports, dashboards (including Power BI), mailing lists, and other outputs to support decision-making.
  • Develops and maintains automated workflows (e.g., via Power Automate or scripting) to streamline reporting, mailing, and data management tasks.
  • Prepares and delivers electronic files to third-party contractors for campaign mailings, acknowledgements, and redemption processes.
  • Partners with third-party vendors to produce direct mail pieces and ensure adequate inventory of campaign materials.
  • Assists the Director of Data Management with campaign segmentation, including preparing, importing, and validating parish data in Raiser's Edge.
  • Maintains clear documentation of processes, procedures, and data management practices to support consistency and cross-training within the team.
  • Collaborates with the Data team to meet deadlines, including tasks such as pledges, cash gift entry, lockbox imports, reconciliation of exceptions, and gift batch processing.
  • Maintains working knowledge of complex gift processing, including credit/debit card transactions, stock gifts, donor-advised fund gifts, and IRA charitable distributions.
  • Utilizes APIs, queries, and automation to integrate and enhance CRM functionality where possible.
  • Provides high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders, responding promptly to inquiries and ensuring confidentiality of donor and financial information.
  • Collaborates with Discipleship and Stewardship Office, Information Systems & Technology Office, and Catholic Foundation staff in support of campaigns, donor relations, and special events.
  • Continuously improves operations by monitoring process efficiency, identifying data trends, and recommending or implementing solutions.
  • Supports the mission and vision of the Diocese, modeling organizational values and maintaining a collaborative, service-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred; or three years of equivalent work experience with demonstrated ability to develop scripts to automate tasks.
  • Able to quickly assess core business challenges and respond using CRM platform strategies
  • Familiar with enterprise CRM systems like Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge. Experience through API usage is a plus.
  • High degree of computer literacy. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform environments including Power BI and Power Automate (low-code solutions).
  • Must be highly organized, accurate and detail oriented, with ability to analyze complex data.
  • Ability to work in a church-related as well as service-oriented and collaborative environment with commitment to partners and team members. Ability to work with diverse groups of people in an atmosphere of collaboration and service.
  • Community or Diocesan experience a plus.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and set priorities.
  • Solution-oriented and able to maintain the goodwill and reputation of the team.
