WATG is hiring a Project Management Office (PMO) Lead – Digital + Data for our office in Dallas, Texas.
ROLE
The PMO Lead for WATG’s Digital and Data Practice will play a pivotal role in orchestrating, aligning, and delivering strategic initiatives across multiple technology domains. This role will oversee project governance, ensure consistent execution, and foster collaboration across Infrastructure Technology, Design Technology, Enterprise Technology, and Data & Analytics teams. The PMO Lead will serve as the connective tissue between minus one directors, cross-functional leads, and senior leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with WATG’s business strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees and manages the Digital & Data Practice’s portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and priorities
- Establishes and enforces project management standards, frameworks, and methodologies across teams
- Tracks, reports, and escalates risks, dependencies, and milestones to the CDDO and leadership team
- Develops and maintains governance models for project oversight, including steering committees, dashboards, and performance KPIs
- Provides regular portfolio health updates, budget tracking, and resource utilization reports
- Drives accountability and transparency across cross-functional teams through standardized reporting practices
- Collaborates with other departments, leads Digital and Data change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new systems, processes, and technologies
- Builds stakeholder readiness plans, communications, and training programs to support change initiatives
- Acts as a change champion, fostering a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement
- Builds, mentors, and develops project management talent within the Digital and Data Practice
- Designs and delivers training programs for teams on project management best practices, Agile/Scrum, and digital tools
- Oversees ERP and CRM implementation projects ensuring business alignment
- Champions Agile methodologies across teams and guides adoption of Scrum practices where applicable
- Trains and coaches teams on Agile principles, fostering flexibility, collaboration, and iterative delivery
- Establishes metrics to measure Agile maturity and performance improvements
- Identifies, evaluates, and monitors risks across the Digital and Data project portfolio
- Develops proactive mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize delivery disruptions
- Establishes a risk management framework and regularly reports on enterprise risk posture
- Leverages analytics and data insights to drive portfolio prioritization and decision-making
- Works with the Data and Analytics team to establish KPIs and performance dashboards to measure project and portfolio outcomes
- Uses data to forecast resource needs, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve delivery
- Leads budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning activities for the Digital and Data Practice
- Ensures financial transparency across projects and alignment with enterprise strategic priorities
- Partners with Finance to monitor capital expenditures, ROI, and business case validations
- Acts as a trusted advisor to the Managing Principal, Digital Practice synthesizing insights and recommending strategic adjustments
- Facilitates collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex requirements into actionable plans
- Champions the adoption of best-in-class tools, processes, and practices for project and portfolio management
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive project/program management experience in digital, data, or technology environments
- Proven success overseeing complex, multi-stakeholder programs in enterprise environments
- Experience collaborating with executive leadership and managing diverse technology portfolios
- Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to manage up, down, and across
- Expertise in project/portfolio management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid)
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency with project management and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Power BI)
- Analytical mindset with a problem-solving orientation and the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information
