The Brentwood Union School District is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Food Service Nutrition Supervisor to support the operations of our district Food Service Department. This role oversees training, compliance, and daily operations to ensure students and families receive high-quality, nutritious meals in a safe and efficient program.

Position: Food Service Nutrition Supervisor
Location: Brentwood, CA
Work Year: 258 Days
Reports To: Food Service Coordinator
Salary:   $30.17 - $38.18/hr (6 steps)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and track training for all food service staff to ensure USDA compliance.
• Implement and monitor standards for food service operations, sanitation, and customer service.
• Supervise staff scheduling, procurement, inventory control, and catering functions.
• Support site leads with daily operations, compliance monitoring, and corrective action as needed.
• Prepare and maintain reports related to training, meals per labor hour, pricing equity, and other USDA requirements.
• Assist with budget development, year-end closing, and monitoring expenditures.
• Participate in hiring, evaluating, and supporting food service staff.
• Respond to parent inquiries and ensure a positive experience for students and families.

Experience/Education:

• Education: High school diploma with college coursework in nutrition or related field required.
• Experience: Minimum one year supervisory experience in Child Nutrition or a related field.
• Possession of a valid CA driver’s license; ServSafe Certificate or equivalent.

Preferred: 

• Preferred: Degree in Nutrition or related field, or Registered Dietician.
