Requirements / Qualifications

* * * INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY * * * DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Under the direction of the Director of Equity, Access and Instructional Services, Director of Elementary Education, Director of Secondary or their designee, the Multilingual Lead serves as a vital resource for teachers and administrators. This role assists in the planning and implementation of a results-driven multilingual learners’ program, working closely with the District and school sites to ensure a coherent, district-wide system of curriculum, instruction, and assessment that supports students in mastering English. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Permanent status in LUSD. * California Single Subject Credential. * Three years of successful teaching experience demonstrating site instructional leadership roles * Appropriate certification to teach English Language Learners (e.g., CLAD, BCLAD). * Knowledge of equitable school design, practices, and instructional strategies. * Expertise in teaching multilingual learners and an in-depth understanding of the California State Content Standards and Frameworks, along with differentiated classroom instructional practices that promote student academic success. * Understanding and working knowledge of the California ELD framework. * Experience in collaborative planning and delivery of differentiated professional development to classroom practitioners. * Knowledge of and success in utilizing and promoting differentiated instructional techniques that result in improved student learning. * Strong oral and written communication skills.

$60,886 - $118,476 Annually
