Job Purpose
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clean energy initiatives are translated into scalable, high-quality software solutions. This role directly supports the development and reporting of clean energy programs while aligning with regulatory requirements and public service commission expectations.
Requirements
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of program enhancements.
- Facilitate user requirement workshops and translate business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, and QA teams to guide solutions from concept through deployment.
- Analyze and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Organize and prioritize user stories for Agile development sprints.
- Support testing efforts by creating test plans, test scripts, and logging defects.
- Prepare system documentation, including process flows, customer journey maps, and business process models.
- Conduct user research, experience mapping, wireframing, and usability testing.
- Apply critical thinking to diagnose and resolve complex system and process issues.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the lifecycle.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and tools to support evolving program needs.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and decompose complex business processes.
- Proficiency in documenting business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
- Experience designing, managing, testing, or improving software systems.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps (or similar tools such as JIRA).
- Ability to organize work, write technical user stories, and manage Agile sprints.
- Certifications such as PMP, CPM, or Scrum/Agile highly desirable.
- Ability to summarize technical concepts and communicate them clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Skills (Must Have)
- Agile methodology and Scrum practices.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): develop test plans, test cases, and scripts.
- Testing and troubleshooting.
- Data-driven decision making.
- Salesforce Reports.
- Project management tools (Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar).
- Business process documentation and workflows.
- Strong collaboration skills in multi-disciplinary teams.
Nice To Have
- Agile Scrum certification.
- Experience with Salesforce Testing.
- Knowledge of and work experience with energy efficiency or demand-side management initiatives.
- Experience as a Business Analyst in Salesforce environments.
- QA Testing background.
- PMP, CPM, or Agile certifications.
