We are looking for a fully qualified secondary Social Subjects teacher with experience in ASN to work in a secondary ASN Base. The successful candidate will lead curricular development and delivery in BGE Social Subjects within the ASN Base.

We are a South Lanarkshire ASN Base provision within a mainstream secondary school for secondary learners with a wide range of additional support needs. At Duncanrig we aim to provide an exceptional learning experience for all learners.

You will deliver the curriculum for excellence and plan challenging and meaningful learning experiences for learners with a range of additional support needs and contribute to whole school initiatives.

We welcome applications from teachers who are ready to challenge and motivate learners, whatever their barrier to learning. You will carry out the range of duties outlined in Annexe B of "A Teaching Profession for the 21st Century"

We are part of the Duncanrig Learning Community, which comprises Duncanrig Secondary School, our nine associated primary schools, Early Years partners, and bases that provide specialist additional services. It is a legal requirement for any teacher teaching in a Scottish state school to be registered with GTC Scotland, General Teaching Council (Scotland) Registration.

Teacher Salary

In line with the Teachers’ Conditions of Service, your salary for the remainder of this school salary year, which runs in conjunction with the academic session, may be recalculated to reflect how teachers accrue pay.
