Development Manager (UK & Ireland) – Fixed Term Contract
Salary: Circa £55,000 - £58,000 per annum, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-Time, 37.5 hours, Fixed Term Contract until 30 June 2026

About the Job
The Business Development Office (BDO) steers the IB’s efforts to grow the IB brand in line with its mission. The IB seeks to increase access to education for students around the world, we need alignment in developing IB’s services for the future, including new and improved products and services, as well as digital transformation.
This role has overall responsibility for designing and executing a comprehensive strategy for promoting IB programs and expand the footprint of IB within the territory of UK & Ireland.
The Development Manager is expected to work closely with the Head of Development and to support Country Development & Recognition managers (on questions around UK Education), support the development standardised marketing toolkits and campaigns, simplify processes and facilitate the removal of growth barriers, and actively promote IB programmes, up to and including the point of Applications for Candidacy submission.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver annual growth plan
Work with Development and Marcomms teams to develop and deliver annual calendar of outreach activities.
Work with Head of Development to build annual fixed cost budget.
Serve as account manager/key contact for leads/schools/groups of schools, key recognition officials and IB associations within the prescribed territory.
Support with the IB Authorisation process for interested schools/groups of schools to support the uptake of programmes and services.
Represent IB in meetings with key governmental officials within the assigned and wider territory, and make strategic decisions regarding recognition with high level contacts.
Qualifications
About You
Bachelor’s Degree required
Extensive experience leading targeted campaigns
Relevant experience creating multiple strategic initiatives to increase performance & growth
Demonstrated ability to identify and assess market segments/needs and develop strategies to enhance service and revenue
Demonstrated skills as a collaborator as part of a team and also working independently.
Being culturally aware and respectful, having a global perspective, and identifying opportunities for global working.
Strong IT skills and the ability to work effectively with data.
Strong presentation skills and the ability to negotiate and convince.
Strong command of written and spoken English required.
Knowledge and understanding of IB, its mission and programmes desirable, but not required.
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software desirable, but not required.
Spanish and/or French proficiency desirable, but not required.
