About the role
As the Distribution Coordinator you will support the local Distribution team to deliver our slate of new releases in Germany, across theatrical and digital distribution. This includes working closely with MUBI's local Director of Distribution and both, the global & local distribution teams to plan and execute digital and traditional marketing campaigns, organizing events with partners and local institutions, building our local distribution strategy and collaborating with the Marketing team on wider marketing efforts in Germany with the aim of building awareness for MUBI.
We work hybrid-remote where we require 3 office days in Berlin, Germany. Our core days are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, with the flexibility to use our beautiful offices on the remaining two days if you wish.
Where you'll have impact:
Providing general support to the local Distribution team, including marketing and administration tasks
Managing timelines and material delivery for theatrical releases and MUBI GO titles
Supporting film dubbing processes, request quotes and oversee material deliveries
Liaising with the local marketing and distribution teams and the creative team; manage creative briefs for weekly GO titles
Supporting the Theatrical Sales team with cinema logistics and BO reports
Supporting event and partnership management including festivals, talent and premieres
Providing administrative support across theatrical releases and MUBI GO e.g. reporting, meeting agendas etc.
Providing support for the office administration including invoices, expenses, supplies and liaison with the MUBI Finance/Operations team
What you'll bring:
You have a passion for film and cinema as well as a basic knowledge of current theatrical releases and believe in the power of cinema.
You have relevant professional experience in distribution, ideally in the cinema, media, or film distribution industry.
You are a team player who also stands out with a confident demeanor, an independent and reliable work style, and the ability to stay organized even in stressful situations.
You enjoy working with people and have excellent communication skils.
You communicate professionally with internal and external contacts, possess fluent German skills, and have excellent English proficiency.
You have strong administrative skills and a general understanding of MS Office systems and other IT programs, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
