ROLE PURPOSE
Manage the Ohio and West Virginia supply chain quality program as lead for the Streetsboro, Ohio plant and dotted line program ownership of the Bedford Heights, OH and Keyser, WV departments. Works to drive quality improvements in the extrusion, press, and converting operations. Acts as the interface between supply chain and the customer. Provide quality and technical support to functions implementing process change and continual improvement.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
-Develop and execute regional quality strategy aligned with global business objectives and regulatory requirements.
-Lead and mentor site quality leaders to drive a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across all manufacturing facilities in the region.
-Ensure adherence to ISO, AIB, GMP, and other relevant industry standards, certifications, and customer requirements.
-Establish and monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring consistent measurement and reporting across sites.
-Partner with Operations, Local and Global Engineering, and Supply Chain – materials management to proactively identify risks, resolve systemic quality issues, and implement preventive actions.
-Drive standardization and harmonization of quality systems, processes, and documentation across regional sites.
-Lead customer and regulatory audits, ensuring sites maintain a state of audit readiness at all times.
-Collaborate with R&D and Product Development teams to ensure design for manufacturability and quality is integrated early in the lifecycle.
-Manage regional quality budget, resources, and talent development to strengthen organizational capabilities.
-Foster a strong customer focus by ensuring rapid and effective resolution of complaints, escalations, and product returns.
-Champion digital quality tools and advanced analytics to improve root cause analysis, traceability, and decision-making.
-Drive operational excellence by embedding Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies in quality management practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge - Fundamental understanding of ISO 9001; familiarity of SPC, DOE, 6 Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
Skills - Fundamental statistical understanding; excellent written and verbal communication skill; consensus management.
Abilities - Ability to perform root cause analysis techniques; good problem solving skills; reasoning to balance both immediate and longer-term need; ability to operate within the realistic capabilities of the facilities and organization; ability to provide direction to auditors across multiple shifts; fundamental mechanical aptitude a plus.
Education - Bachelor’s degree required; engineering preferred.
Experience - Minimum 10 years in direct quality related area; 8 years in highly customer interactive position.
