Company Description:

The Senior Manager of Business Operations provides essential strategic analytics, project management, and operational support to the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Field Operations. This position serves as a central hub for information for the National Field Leadership Team. The Senior Manager prepares and/or delivers standardized reports across all regions in a consolidated national format, including regional breakdowns for key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Distribution, Marketing, and On-Premise activities.

Additionally, the role involves reviewing and analyzing data to uncover insights through gap analyses, ensuring alignment across regional operations, identifying best practices, and creating presentations for national teams. These presentations include executive summaries, project proposals, and marketing mix analyses.

Using these insights, the Senior Manager will also lead strategic projects such as developing business case proposals, coordinating high-priority national initiatives for implementation across regions, and managing business planning processes. Responsibilities also encompass overseeing the project management and tracking of new initiatives rolled out within the regional structure.

Job Description:

STRATEGIC PLANNING AND EXECUTION

Collaborate with the Field Leadership Team (LT) and other internal stakeholders to assess and enhance current business and role-related processes, offering recommendations to leadership for improvements, automation, or new capability opportunities aligned with the overall strategy.

Lead the annual field business planning process by equipping the field teams with tools and resources to create best-practice strategies across departments while managing the overarching timeline and deliverables.

Serve as a strategic advisor to the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Field Operations, consolidating needs, notes, and action items while overseeing operational follow-ups on key initiatives.

Provide functional guidance and leadership to regional defensive lines, assisting in the development and refinement of processes and best practices that can be effectively implemented at the regional level.

Act as a central point of communication by addressing inquiries, offering direction, and aiding in the preparation and distribution of reports.

Develop strategic presentations and executive-level communications for business reviews, project proposals, and other critical meetings, as needed.

Organize regional field and strategic meetings as well as market visits, establishing cadence, topics/agenda, norms, and follow-up procedures.

Generate executive summaries of national Field Leadership Team (LT) meetings, whether biweekly, monthly, or quarterly.

Foster collaboration and support performance optimization at the Field Leadership Team (LT) level.

ANALYSIS AND INSIGHTS

Identify business opportunities across various channels and provide both qualitative and quantitative analytical recommendations to inform top-line strategy and tactical planning.

Interpret sales and other relevant data, analyze results, generate insights, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations and action plans to drive growth.

Collaborate with stakeholders in Santa Monica to review the application of marketing strategies across different regions, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Coordinate alignment on reporting standards and best practices for analytics across regional Defensive Lines.

Work with internal counterparts to manage comprehensive analytics at a national field level, including:

  • National aggregate reporting
  • Regional 1-, 3-, 6-, and 12-month performance analysis
  • National trend analysis over 12-, 18-, and 24-month periods
  • Monthly gap analyses
  • Executive summaries
  • Trade sales forecasting overviews leveraging insights from regional Defensive Lines and Distribution Analysts
  • Monthly trend analysis

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Lead project management efforts from initial recommendation and development to full implementation, encompassing key activities such as business case preparation, headcount proposals, budget planning, scheduling, forecasting, execution, and results reporting for national projects and initiatives across the field.

Collaborate with project leaders to manage documentation and monitor the progress of project milestones, schedules, and resource requirements.

Develop, refine, and maintain project management methodologies to ensure a streamlined process is in place, guaranteeing that projects are executed and delivered to meet established standards.

Work collaboratively across the organization, serving as a vital liaison between various teams and stakeholders to identify gaps, define requirements, and prioritize tasks where necessary.

Cultivate relationships at all levels and across geographic regions, assess the cultural health and sentiment of the field, and provide recommendations based on these evaluations.

Partner with the Field Leadership Team to support Red Bull brand and lifestyle initiatives, fostering a strong cultural presence throughout the regions.

Qualifications:

3 - 5 years of experience in an analytical management role, preferably within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint

Familiarity with IRI, Numerator, and syndicated data platforms

Experience in business or management consulting is an advantage

Strong communication skills and exceptional organizational abilities

Capability to collaborate effectively across various functions, including headquarters and field/region teams

Solid understanding of reporting technologies and their functionalities

Ability to translate analytics into actionable insights

Demonstrated expertise in managing complex projects and delivering results within stipulated timelines

Additional Information:

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

The base salary range for this position is $96,000 to $144,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
