As our Hotel Engineer, you’ll be the go-to for keeping our property in top shape. You’ll oversee the maintenance, repair, and smooth operation of the hotel’s physical site and facilities—making sure everything from mechanical and electrical systems to plumbing and safety equipment works flawlessly. Your work will ensure that our guests enjoy a comfortable, safe, and memorable stay while supporting our team with a well-maintained, high-functioning environment.

Requirements

What You’ll Do 

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, elevators).
• Diagnose issues and complete timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Conduct preventive inspections and address potential problems proactively.
• Oversee property upkeep, including interior, exterior, and landscaping.
• Prioritize and complete maintenance requests/work orders to support guest satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
• Manage contractors/vendors for specialized repairs or projects.
• Support energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.
• Respond promptly to emergencies (e.g., outages, floods, equipment failures).
• Maintain and test emergency systems (generators, lighting, fire suppression).
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment, and service contracts.
• Provide regular maintenance reports and updates to management.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with proven troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Proficient in hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and facility management standards.
• Skilled in problem-solving, task prioritization, and time management with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communicator with the ability to work well with guests, staff, and contractors.
• Physically able to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
• High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred.
• Prior maintenance/facilities experience, ideally in hospitality or a similar setting.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
