Position Title: Sr. Director, Hyperscale Development & Leasing
Location: Boston, MA; Dallas, TX; Austin, TX ; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA
Your role As Sr. Director, Hyperscale Development & Leasing, you will lead hyperscale lease transactions and renewals across U.S., EMEA, and APAC markets for global account customers, driving deals with a minimum size of 20 MW. This role blends commercial leasing execution, development oversight, and portfolio stewardship with a critical mandate to align outcomes to fund and JV performance goals. You will serve as a trusted partner to internal leaders, investors, and joint venture stakeholders to ensure projects deliver on underwriting assumptions and return objectives.
What you’ll do
Lead negotiations for new hyperscale lease transactions and renewals, managing deals end-to-end.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships with global cloud and technology providers.
Partner with internal teams to align leasing structures with financial, operational, and customer goals.
Oversee development execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Anticipate risks, resolve issues, and keep complex projects on track.
Identify opportunities for expansions, renewals, and capital improvements to drive long-term value.
Provide market insights and deal updates that influence portfolio and growth strategies.
Represent the company externally with credibility and executive presence at customer and investor meetings.
What you’ll need
10+ years of experience in commercial real estate, data centers, or technology infrastructure.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Proven track record of executing large-scale leasing transactions and delivering major development projects.
Strong commercial and financial acumen with ability to evaluate deal economics and project feasibility.
Experience with large scale development lifecycles and customer requirements.
Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive stakeholders.
Collaborative leadership style with success in influencing cross-functional teams.
Results-driven mindset with the ability to close complex transactions and deliver on commitments.

Our Compensation Philosophy
Digital Realty offers its employees a highly competitive compensation package, excellent benefits, and an environment that recognizes and rewards your contributions. Central to our compensation philosophy is rewarding our employees for achieving the values and objectives aligned to the company's overall goals and values.
Our published pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and geographical location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. Moreover, an employee’s total compensation package varies by role and may include salary, cash bonus or commissions, and equity awards not quantified below.
Compensation range: $190,000 to $255,000 USD. This compensation range represents the Company’s good faith belief as to what it will pay as a base salary for this position at the time of this posting.
