This positions supports the OLC Department of Admissions by managing a caseload of students from initial inquiry through first enrollment, initiating new student enrollments for all OLC programs, and promoting a positive new student enrollment experience.
Manages a caseload of students from initial inquiry through first enrollment by:
• Initiating timely communication with prospective students after initial inquiry, through a series of phone, email and text communications
• Counseling prospective students on program offerings to assist with making an appropriate program determination
• Maintaining regular, consistent communication with applicants regarding materials needed to complete their application for admission review
• Documenting all contacts and communications and scheduling appropriate follow-up in the database
• Ensuring each student record and the data within it remains accurate and up-to-date
Initiates new student enrollments for all OLC programs by:
• Advising students on appropriate course selection for first enrollment in their program
• Reviewing financial aid and payment options with students
• Communicating registration deadlines specific to a student’s program
• Confirming appropriate tuition payment method before processing course enrollments
Promotes a positive new student enrollment experience by:
• Liaising with Student Accounts, Financial Aid, Registrar, and Program Directors to help address and resolve student questions or concerns
• Assisting with sign ups for term-specific new student orientation webinars
• Remaining current on new program developments and requirements for consistent messaging to students
Increases public awareness of OLC program offerings by:
• Traveling to represent the OLC at educational fairs and industry/educational partner events
• Participating in virtual college fairs and promotional presentations
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience in college admissions and/or sales and recruitment preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Ability to work with a diverse population of prospective students and faculty
• Possess a positive attitude to foster a cohesive working environment
• Ability to perform and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions, following through on all tasks to completion
• Self-motivated - capable of working independently and as a team member with a willingness to help others
• Detail-oriented, while still keeping the big picture and organizational context in perspective
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Intermediate knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Sharepoint, as well as Google Platforms
• Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as a commitment to customer service
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle change and a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
• Proven ability to problem solve, negotiate and develop creative solutions to meet business and employee needs
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
• Tolerates work related stress effectively and maintains self-control/professionalism
