Reports to: Facilities Director
Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment across all Yacht Club facilities, including the clubhouse, restrooms, guest areas, offices, and event spaces. This position plays a key role in upholding the Club’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation for members, guests, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all restrooms, locker rooms, showers, and common areas regularly.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and window washing.
- Maintain cleanliness of guest rooms, staff offices, meeting rooms, and event spaces as assigned.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning materials.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing towels, linens, and uniforms.
- Support room and event setup by arranging tables, chairs, linens, and other supplies as directed.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to the Facilities Director.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure proper storage of all cleaning supplies.
- Perform other housekeeping-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to communicate in English (basic verbal and written).
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning checklists.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working indoors and occasionally outdoors, in all weather conditions.
- Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 30 pounds.
- Available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and special events when needed.
