As an Employment Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in connecting job seekers with a disability to employment opportunities. Your primary objective will be to enhance the employability of candidates through tailored support, including resume writing, interview preparation, job search strategies, and on-site job coaching for the initial few weeks of employment. You will also engage in community outreach to build relationships with local business decision makers. This position also requires accurate record keeping and reporting. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to a more diverse workforce and help individuals achieve their career aspirations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Experience in job placement and training.
  • Ability to learn and adapt.
  • Successful result on a criminal background check and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the area of disabilities.
  • Customer service Skills.
  • Service oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one-on-one consultations with job seekers to assess their skills, experiences, and career goals.
  • Develop and deliver consultations on resume writing, interview techniques, and job search strategies.
  • Organize and participate in learning interviews.
  • Marketing.
  • Provide initial on-site job coaching.
  • Accurate record keeping and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
