Introduction to the role
The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) has a vacancy for an interim Team Assistant. The role is part of the Business Support Team (BST) and helps support the LMA by providing key administrative support. Tasks include booking meetings, managing diaries, preparing and sending event invitations, helping to organise group events such as workshops and forums, and keeping our member list accurate and up to date. The role also involves covering reception duties – greeting visitors, answering enquiries, and ensuring guests feel welcomed and well-informed.
This is a key role that helps the LMA run smoothly and works closely with the Business Support Team Manager to support day-to-day tasks, coordinate meetings and events, and ensure everything is prepared and delivered as needed.
Introduction to the Lloyd's Market Association (LMA)
The LMA represents the interests of all 56 Lloyd’s managing agents and all Lloyd’s members’ agents, who together underwrite approximately £56.2 billion of risk in 2025.
The purpose of the LMA is to make the market a better place and in so doing, maintain the Lloyd’s market’s position as the pre-eminent leader in specialty and commercial risk. We sit at the centre of the Lloyd’s market, a world-leading global marketplace for complex risk.
We seek to make the market a better place in five fundamental ways. First, we advocate on behalf of our members with key stakeholders, including governments, regulators and the Corporation of Lloyd’s. Second, our work spans technical and professional support, from developing model policy wordings to providing guidance on regulatory and legislative requirements.
Third, our award-winning LMA Academy is one of the leading providers of Lloyd’s technical training in the market, supporting the ongoing development of underwriting, claims, finance, risk and operations professionals. Fourth, we drive forward a digitalisation agenda for the market and fifth, we are strong advocates of advancing the market’s inclusive culture.
Collaboration is at the core of what we do. We engage closely with our members to understand and tackle the issues that matter most, and we partner with Lloyd’s and other market associations to help shape the future of the marketplace.
