Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Director to lead a team of marketing professionals and drive measurable demand generation outcomes. The ideal candidate will be equal parts strategist and operator, someone that can set the vision, lead execution, and ensure marketing directly contributes to pipeline and revenue growth.
This position is based out of OptConnect’s headquarters in Kaysville, UT and it is expected the candidate will be in office 3 days per week. The Marketing Director will report to the Chief Experience Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own digital demand generation efforts to create a predictable flow of high-quality enterprise leads, driving measurable pipeline growth and revenue impact.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that includes both online and offline marketing channels, such as content marketing, social media, email marketing, and tradeshows/events that drives marketing qualified leads.
- Lead the creation of automated email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and move them along the sales funnel.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of the marketing team, providing guidance and mentorship to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and product development, to ensure that marketing efforts align with business goals and objectives.
- Optimize the marketing budget across channels, continually improving the cost per lead, CAC, and ROI.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging AI technologies, and use this knowledge to inform marketing decisions, strategies, and execution.
- Work with the Chief Experience Officer and other executives to develop and execute plans for product positioning, advertising, and public relations.
- Supervise external partnerships such as agencies and vendors and maximize the value we receive from them.
- Assess and report regularly to the Company's leadership team on performance of marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Manage the existing marketing team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including at least 3 years leading a multi-functional team.
- Ability to not only put a strategic plan in place, but also handle the development and execution of all the necessary pieces of the marketing mix.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to create industry-relevant content.
- Strong strategic planning, budgeting, and execution skills.
- Experience with digital marketing and marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.)
- Proven experience with AI platforms and t.ools to create content, optimize campaigns, drive additional leads, scale marketing programs, and amplify team output.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with industry trends, developments, and regulations.
- Experience in creating and analyzing marketing metrics.
- Proven B2B demand generation experience with a strong focus on lead generation and pipeline contribution.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with managing a website (HTML) as well as e-Commerce (preferred).
- Experience within the IoT and/or cellular connectivity space (preferred).
