The Administrative Support Associate III is responsible for performing a wide variety of administrative support duties while supporting anAssistant Chief. This position requires excellent skill in managing schedules, issuing correspondence, serving as a liaison, and handling sensitive information.
Essential Duties
- Managing schedules, coordinating meetings and appointments
- Issuing correspondence
- Maintaining files and records
- Acting as a liaison between an Assistant Chief and other departments and agencies
- Communicating information in a timely, effective, and professional manner
- Handling sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion; maintaining professionalism and integrity
- Assisting in preparation of division capital and operation budget
- Monitoring and disseminating relevant information, policies, and procedures to the Support Operations division
- Coordinating site events
- Performing a variety of administrative duties and managing office equipment
- This job is a civilian position in either a public safety department or in Information Technology with close ties to public safety. Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a public safety background which may include motor vehicle & criminal histories, credit check, and fingerprinting.
- This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
The grade for this position is B231. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Up to one year of specialized or technical training in administrative support
- Four years of administrative support or related office experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered
- TAC certification within 90 days of employment
- GCIC certification to be completed within 6 months of employment
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Oracle Experience
