We have an exciting career opportunity for a Network Administrator to join our internal Information Technology team. This position requires working on-site a minimum of three days a week in our Hartford office and occasional travel to other offices (Hamden, CT and Holyoke, MA) as needed.

What you will be doing

  • Configure, maintain, and support network infrastructure including servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Monitor and manage cloud services (such as Microsoft 365) to ensure scalability and security
  • Collaborate with IT team to design and deploy network architecture that supports business goals
  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and patches for network and cloud environments
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network and cloud-related issues, escalating as needed
  • Conduct quality control reviews of hardware and software configurations to ensure standardization and security
  • Mentor junior IT staff by providing guidance, demonstrations, and opportunities to grow their technical skills

What you must have 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer services, network services, or related field (or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience managing and configuring firewalls, switches, and routing
  • Familiarity with network security principles, firewall configurations, and intrusion detection systems
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365; Microsoft Server and Microsoft 365 certifications is a plus (preferred but not required) 
  • Network firewall configuration and management
  • General switch configuration and VLAN management
  • A valid driver’s license (or equivalent legal authorization to operate a vehicle)
  • Access to reliable transportation to travel to various office and client locations as required
  • Delivers after-hours emergency service by monitoring emails, ticketing system, and phone calls before and after business during busy season.
