Your Role & Impact

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring patients receive efficient, compassionate care while supporting smooth clinical operations.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction: Escort patients, record vitals, and gather medical histories
  • Clinical Support: Perform blood draws, COVID swabs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing (e.g., urinalysis)
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications under provider supervision
  • Front Desk Support: Greet patients, verify insurance, manage calls, and schedule appointments
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain a clean, well-stocked clinic and foster a positive work environment

Qualifications

Education & Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Certified Medical Assistant program completion (preferred)
  • Current Medical Assistant certification
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification

Experience:

  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting
  • EKG experience (required)
  • Urgent Care experience (preferred)
  • Strong commitment to patient service, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Skills:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and EMR systems
  • Proficiency with PC applications (Internet, email, Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, sit, reach, and lift 25–50 lbs
  • Manual dexterity and hand coordination for clinical tasks
