Position Summary:
Guardian Security Services is seeking a seasoned Director of Security to oversee security operations for a Commercial space. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, and team performance through direct oversight of Area Managers and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Oversight:
- Lead and mentor a team of Account Managers by providing coaching, support, and recognition, while fostering accountability. Encourage a collaborative and inclusive work environment to promote teamwork, open communication, and professional development, while taking ownership of succession planning at all levels and overseeing payroll.
- Ensure consistent enforcement of company policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage the region's workload, account assignments, and resource allocation.
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with clients by understanding their security needs and ensuring satisfaction; Develop and implement corrective action plans for Identified opportunities for operational improvement
- Talent Management:
- Lead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of key field personnel.
- Oversee employee performance, disciplinary actions, and terminations in accordance with company policy.
- Develop and coach Area Managers and staff to promote growth and accountability.
- Client Relations:
- Conduct regular site visits and meetings with key clients to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Proactively address client concerns and implement solutions to maintain seamless service delivery.
- Collaborate with business development and contract management teams on client retention and expansion opportunities.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, industry standards, and local regulations.
- Analyze operational metrics and generate reports to support data-driven decision-making.
- Implement initiatives to improve efficiency, service quality, and employee engagement.
Salary Range:
· $105,000 – $110,000 a year
· Full Time
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in the security or protective services industry.
- Law Enforcement Experience is a requirement
- must also be willing to complete their FLSD certification
- Proven track record of managing multi-site operations and leading diverse teams.
- Ability to maintain a profitable book of business by cross-collaborating and utilizing results-oriented problem-solving skills to meet both client and employee growth and satisfaction
- Strong understanding of regional labor laws and security regulations NJ
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Basic understanding of financial principles, including budgeting and financial reporting. Ability to interpret simple financial data and use it to support decision-making
- Ability to travel frequently within New Jersey Market.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus.
- Security industry certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are desirable.
- Proficiency in web-based applications and computer systems, including Microsoft Office and (BI) Business Intelligence tools for metrics analysis, reporting, automation, and presentations. Strong Technical Skills and Attention to detail is a MUST.
Availability during emergencies, holidays, weekends, or to be on-call, depending on operational needs.
