Our primary goal is to enable our residents to remain safely and comfortably in their own homes while providing assistance with general daily needs such as meals, chores, and medication reminders. Westminster Village seeks a Home Service Worker available on an as needed basis! The wage scale for this position is $17.26 to $19.26 per hour. Westminster offers a competitive wage scale with an annual increase. Apply now for immediate consideration!
Job Duties:
- Observation and Reporting: Observe the client's functioning and promptly report any changes or concerns to their supervisor, employer, or a person designated by the client.
- Household Chores: Assist with household chores, including cooking, meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
- Support Outside Appointments: Aid in completing activities such as shopping and accompanying clients to appointments outside of the home.
- Companionship: Offer companionship to clients, fostering a supportive and caring environment.
- Documentation: Accurately complete appropriate records, documenting the services provided to clients.
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist clients with activities of daily living and personal care, which may include dressing, bathing, grooming, and other non-medical personal tasks.
- Complete 10 hours of on-the-job training.
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Current CPR certification is required. One year of experience working with geriatric people preferred.
