Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for verifying and sending print-ready PDF files to sister booklet plants and outside print vendors. The role works closely with the Book Purchasing and Graphics teams and provides support to both the Graphic Design and Prepress Departments with tasks such as plate pulling and basic file setup or revisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to all company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Send Cimarron Press PDF artwork to sister booklet plants and external print vendors
Double-check press PDFs for accuracy by cross-referencing with purchase orders, spec sheets, and green sheets
Review PDFs from booklet plants against the customer-approved proof using Global Vision proofing software
Assist the Prepress Team in pulling and checking plates
Support the Graphics Department with simple artwork revisions and setups
Maintain job logs, organize emails, and file artwork to the server
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, and Illustrator is a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office is a plus
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to read and interpret job ticket specifications
Basic math and computer skills required
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to follow general instructions and work independently
Strong organizational skills and time management
Familiarity with hand-held measuring tools
Commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work
Experience in the printing or packaging industry is a plus
