Business Analyst bei Global Data Consultants

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Business Analyst to work in a hybrid capacity, with at least 1 day on-site per month in Harrisburg, PA. This position offers flexibility with occasional in-office requirements driven by operational needs and provides a collaborative environment focused on delivering effective business and technical solutions.

As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for serving as a liaison among stakeholders to understand organizational structure, policies, and operations, and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. You will lead requirements gathering, documentation, and process modeling efforts to ensure high-quality deliverables that align with business needs and technical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facilitated workshops for requirements analysis.

• Create workflows using formal notation such as Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN).

• Develop business requirements, including project initiation documents, objectives, and quality measures.

• Develop functional requirements describing what systems, processes, or services must do.

• Develop user (stakeholder) requirements to capture and interpret stakeholder needs.

• Develop quality-of-service (non-functional) requirements such as performance, scalability, security, and usability.

• Develop report specifications including purpose, justification, attributes, columns, owners, and runtime parameters.

• Develop requirements traceability matrices to track requirements through the lifecycle.

• Create graphic representations of complex business processes.

• Write and maintain clear documentation with strong organizational detail.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience using formal requirements gathering methodologies.

• 4+ years of experience developing business, functional, and non-functional requirements.

• 4+ years of experience developing requirements traceability matrices.

• Bachelor’s degree (4-year college degree) or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience

• Experience conducting facilitated workshops for requirements analysis.

• Experience with BPMN or other formal process modeling notations.

• Strong writing and organizational skills.

• Experience creating report specifications and visual representations of complex business processes.
