- Manage and oversee base salary and incentive, commission and bonus plans.
- Participate in market survey preparation and conduct base pay and incentive plan analyses to ensure pay equity and compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
- Develop and manage SAFE’s compensation structure and delivery to ensure competitiveness within the industry and market.
- Partner with businesses leaders to align base and incentive compensation strategies with organizational strategies, goals and objectives.
- Develop, communicate and manage all elements of SAFE’s base pay program including pay structures (job families, job descriptions, job codes, grade ranges, and rates), internal equity reviews, merit and market reviews, and adjustment methodology.
- Responsible for leading and coordinating the annual merit cycle. Responsible for the coordination, communication and delivery of annual staff and management incentive plans.
- Lead the management of the compensation, incentives team, providing direction to staff members regarding schedules, work assignments, and projects, as well as the coaching and development of employees
- Ensure benefits plan designs and retirement plans are cost effective, market competitive and consistent with organizational objectives.
- Review benefits offering to employees and assess their effectiveness; make recommendations to vary offerings based on current best practices, cost, and benefit to employees
- Mange the review, communication, and implementation of the annual benefit programs open enrollment process and the annual total compensation review in coordination with Manager Payroll & Benefits
- Develop effective process reviews and internal controls that promote adherence to applicable state/federal laws including ACA, ERISA, FLSA and California Fair Pay Act.
- Develop programs focused on mental health, stress management, fitness, nutrition and work-life integration.
- Partner with current vendors to optimize resources for employees.
- Work with the Wellbeing Committee and Leaders to support workshops, awareness events and campaigns.
- Responsible for implementing initiatives that support the physical, mental and emotional health of employees.
- Manage budgets for wellbeing efforts and initiatives.
- Promotes a culture of wellbeing across SAFE.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Certifications strongly preferred: CCP, and CBP or CEBS
- 7+ years of experience in compensation and benefits (health & welfare, retirement and wellbeing).
- Experience in incentive and commission design and planning.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience implementing and communicating compensation and benefits programs
- Experience implementing a wholistic total rewards approach that attracts, retains and engages employees.
- Must possess a strong financial acumen; ability to understand the short- and long-term financial impact of total rewards practices, and ability to prepare or supervise the preparation of relevant financial data.
- Track record of effectively partnering with internal senior leaders and executive team
