Could you be the full-time Bogie Design Engineer in Bangalore we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a critical role in delivering bogie engineering outputs while ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) commitments. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as manufacturing, assembly, and engineering teams), ensure adherence to design development procedures, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of developing and optimizing bogie designs, but also contribute to material specification, structural standards, and tolerance management.
We’ll look to you for:

Delivery of bogie engineering outputs in compliance with project commitments

Application of bogie design development procedures
-
Management of material specifications, weld types, and structural standards (proof and fatigue)
-
Oversight of piping and electrical cabling installation/routing
-
Proficiency in CAD tools (Catia V5) and PDM systems (Enovia)

Basic stress calculations and selection/sizing of mechanical fixings (fasteners)
-
Support in optimizing cost-effective bogie systems while meeting performance requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

12+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with material specialization

Expertise in manufacturing and assembly processes

Experience in new product development
-
Relevant experience in designing mechanic-welded structures and assemblies (3 years minimum)

Proficiency in design and calculation software (e.g., CATIA, ENOVIA, HYPERWORKS)
-
Knowledge of structural and dynamic calculations (preferred)

Strong communication skills
