We're Currently Looking for an Occasional Babysitter in Nahant, MA 01908
A lovely family in Nahant seeks an occasional babysitter for their two children, ages 1 and 3 years old, for an immediate start. Backup care is needed on an as-needed basis—typically 1–3 times every other month—to provide backup coverage during daycare closures or when one child is home with a mild cold. Shifts are usually 4–5 hours between 9am–5pm (e.g., 9am–2:15pm), or occasionally 4:30pm–8:30pm when one parent is traveling. A parent will always be present in the home during care hours. The family can often provide several months' advance notice for scheduled needs, though last-minute care (with about 24 hours’ notice) may be required for sick needs. Applicants do not need to be available for every request, but should be comfortable with the flexible nature of the role– there are no guaranteed hours. The 1-year-old is energetic and loves stroller walks and playing with balls, while the 3-year-old is independent and enjoys crafts and trips to the nearby park.

Requirements
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years of paid professional toddler care experience
- CPR certified, or willingness to become certified
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a professional setting
- Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening
- Must live within 30 minutes of Nahant
Compensation
This position pays $35 per hour, and the family is looking for intermittent care.
