We’re currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in SAN MARCOS, CA
A lovely family in the Santa Fe Hills neighborhood of San Marcos is seeking an occasional babysitter for their three children, ages 13 months, 4 years, and 6 years, with an immediate start. Backup care is typically needed 1–3 times per month on weekdays between 7:30 AM–4:00 PM and Monday evenings from 6:15 PM–9:00 PM. The family is usually able to provide advance notice for care needs, though occasional next-day requests may arise. Care will often be for just one child at a time, though evening shifts may require watching all three children. The ideal candidate will be reliable, attentive, and engaging, with a warm and professional approach to childcare.

- Weekday Hours: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- Monday Evenings: 6:15 PM–9:00 PM
- Compensation: $25 per hour + gas reimbursement for transporting children

- Thursday, September 25th, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Responsibilities
- RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diaper changes for 13-month-old
- Occasional daycare pickups (mileage reimbursed)
- Interactive play and engagement
- Homework assistance for 6-year-old
- Light child-related housekeeping (e.g., dishes, tidying toys)
Requirements
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of paid, professional experience with toddlers
- CPR certified or willing to obtain certification
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two professional childcare-related references
- Clear background and social media screening
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable vehicle and active auto insurance
- Must live within 30 minutes of San Marcos
Compensation + Benefits
This position pays $25 per hour + gas reimbursement for transporting children, ongoing care.
