Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) has immediate openings for full- and part-time Behavioral Health Technicians to support individuals in our brand-new Receiving Center (RC) — a first-of-its-kind initiative providing rapid response, short-term stabilization, and coordinated follow-up for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Be part of this exciting new program from the very beginning!
We offer flexible scheduling for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Limited part-time 1st shift hours are also available.
In addition to the base hourly pay, the following differentials apply:
1st Shift: +$0.75/hour
2nd Shift: +$1.25/hour
3rd Shift: +$1.75/hour
Weekend Days (Fri 3:00 pm – Mon 7:00 am): Additional +$1/hour
About the Crisis Receiving Center
The Hamilton County RC is a unique and innovative model designed to provide an alternative to emergency rooms or incarceration for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This project is a partnership with local law enforcement, aimed at providing rapid intervention and high-quality care.

Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Technician provides direct support and supervision to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, trauma-informed environment while supporting client engagement, safety monitoring, and crisis de-escalation.
Responsibilities:
Provide observation, engagement, and crisis support
Assist with safety monitoring, de-escalation, and intake/orientation
Accurately document client interactions and incidents
Communicate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Promote trauma-informed and culturally competent care
Requirements:
High School Diploma (required)
Experience with mental health or substance use populations preferred
Flexibility, professionalism, and resilience in fast-paced settings
