Doncasters Forgings of Springfield, Storms Forge, is rich in knowledge, history, and experience, as it has been producing products for 100 years. Storms Forge produces components that go into aerospace, power generation, oil and gas and industrial markets. Here at Storms Forge, we specialise in working with titanium, high temperature stainless steel and nickel- based specialty alloys. 

Some of the products produced at Storms Forge include, airframe ready components, blades, vanes, compressor air foils and many more that keep the world in motion! 

Storms Forge, based in Massachusetts, is one of our smaller sites and has a dedicated, specialist team of around 30 employees. Storms forge takes part in many voluntary charity initiatives and takes pride in their surrounding community. 

The Role

Within this role as a Forging Design Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and optimising high-quality forging processes and tooling. You will translate customer specifications into production-ready designs using CAD and simulation tools, while collaborating with simulation engineers, production teams, and sales to ensure manufacturability and project success. Drive continuous improvement, lead problem solving initiatives, and support new product introduction with technical expertise and training.

• Previous experience within a forging environment.
• Experience with Unigraphics NX/Solidworks/other CAD software.
• Problem solving skills.
• Ability to read blueprints.
