QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university with at least a master’s degree in a behavioral science discipline (must be independently licensed to practice in Arkansas- LCSW, LPC)
- Experience: Licensed in Arkansas as a Mental Health Professional with at least two years post-master’s experience in psychiatric or mental health setting. Must have completed hospital and clinic orientation period in order to act as a team leader.
- Skills: The therapist must possess effective communication skills and must demonstrate leadership ability and interest in professional growth. Must be readily adaptable to changing physician/practice demands, without deterioration under stress; and must have a basic concept of customer service, scheduling, and counseling. The therapist must possess demonstrated knowledge, training and skills necessary and appropriate to the patient-specific population. Therapist must be able to set priorities and effectively delegate/coordinate interdisciplinary care based on the needs of the patient and clinic.
- Working Relationships: Ability to function with minimum supervision and interface appropriately with healthcare team.

DESCRIPTION:
The Therapist will provide quality individual and other therapies using professional standards, and according to their licensure and or certification. The therapist will complete assessment/treatment with a variety of diagnostic tools, following best practices.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCE :
Clinical Services:
- To carry an individual caseload proportionate to the patient population needs, providing them with individual or family therapy according to approved hospital standards.
- To conduct psychotherapy sessions daily in conjunction with the clinical schedule.
- To conduct assessment/interventions and other sessions on each assigned patient and document in a timely manner per clinic policy.
- To complete psychosocial/initial assessments on assigned patients in a timely/complete manner.
- Conduct basic crisis intervention services and make appropriate referrals as needed.
- Monitors effective therapy.
- Knowledge of the development and maintenance of information/referral systems.
- Demonstrate a sensitivity and responsiveness to a variety of cultural values and beliefs and social determinants of health.
- Demonstrates positive and effective verbal and writtent communication skills with patients, families and co-workers, and in patient documentation.
- Maintains a current level of clinical practice by selecting appropriate avenues for professional growth and routinely seeks continuing education according to best practice. Evaluates goal attainment and revises goals on an on-going basis.
- Performs other similar duties as assigned by supervision.
