Job Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of production department in processing materials or manufacturing products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. 

Job Duties: 

• Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations
• Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products
• Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications
• Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs, identify cost saving opportunities, and prevent operational delays
• Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards
• Strives to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines

• Sets ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel
• Provides motivation, support and guidance to all employees
• Communicates any problems or obstacles to senior management
• Establishes workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity
• Drives the continuous improvement process and system, and implement programs that will have continuing long-term benefits
• Implements 5S throughout the plant and oversee the auditing
• Backs up Plant Manager as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:  

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Operations or related field preferred, with four-five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Supervisory experience required
• Able to deal properly with sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to effective develop people and lead a team
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
