Job Description

The Director of Creative Strategy leads the creative direction and implementation of marketing campaigns. This role is responsible for developing innovative creative concepts and strategies, while overseeing the Multimedia Specialist and Graphic Design/Web Specialist to ensure brand consistency and impactful messaging. This is a 12-month, full-time, position and reports to the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications in the Albion Center for Professional Development. This position requires the employee to reside within commuting distance of the Pocatello campus.

Key Responsibilities

-Manage digital marketing efforts, including advertising on Google and Meta, and oversee partnerships with social media influencers and external companies, managing contracts and executing collaborative marketing campaigns (40%)
-Manage marketing expenditures related to advertising, and advertising contracts, leading Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and requisitions in collaboration with the University’s Purchasing Department (15%)
-Track and analyze the effectiveness of advertising strategies and campaigns, providing reports and insights to improve ongoing efforts, and research marketing trends, audience behavior, and emerging technologies to keep content current, engaging, and relevant (10%)
-Supervise the Albion Center’s Multimedia Specialist and Graphic Design/Web Specialist to support the execution of marketing campaigns (10%)
-Implement traditional marketing initiatives such as the nationwide postcard and promotional giveaway campaigns to drive engagement and awareness (10%) 
-Expand the Albion Center’s website and social media presence by developing strategies to best position the Center on those platforms (10%)
-Work closely with the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications to execute marketing campaigns in alignment with the Albion Center’s mission and goals, and be knowledgeable of university policies and procedures related to branding, marketing, and communications (5%)

Minimum Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
-Five years relevant professional experience with digital marketing, creative strategy, and graphic design
-Proven experience working with Adobe Cloud, Canva, or related softwares
-Exceptional communication and writing skills
-Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
 
Preferred Qualifications

-Master’s degree in related field
-Two years leadership experience in marketing, communications, or related field
-Knowledge of Idaho State University and/or public university brand guidelines, policies, procedures, and marketing strategies 


Additional Information

Salary will be between $75,000 and $85,000 per year,commensurate with education and experience.
