About the Role
The primary purpose of the Luxury Sales Manager role is to support and accelerate the pull through for Daou wines across EMEA (Central Europe). The Luxury Sales manager creates, organises, and hosts events with the single objective of driving incremental sales through from Fine Wine retail, on-premise, E Commerce, and Distributors. The role will also help drive distribution and activation of Daou across all channels working hand in hand with the locally based Penfolds team and distributors. As the Luxury Sales Manager, you will also assist in establishing and managing high net worth (HNW) corporate/consumer relationships across EMEA that lead to direct wine sales. Sales could come from relationships, distributors’ network/event’s needs, and recruitment to Daou members’ club, direct sales to staff and executive and corporate network.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Drive interest and sales of Daou wines through the exceptional execution of events

  • Build HNW and corporate hunt list

  • Support new distribution / listings for Daou by working from a targeted list of customers 

  • Achieve NSR, distribution and GP targets as agreed for nominated account base

  • Develop customer and distributor partner relationships in line with agreed channel plan and commercial requirements

  • Identify a target list for wine growth

  • Establish a Luxury wine network internally and externally 

  • Accurate and timely reporting of monthly performance, achieving volume and financial targets with the team

  • Liaison with Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, PR, Supply key stakeholders

  • Manage execution of bespoke corporate plans and on-going luxury fine wine concierge program

 

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a high-performing Luxury Sales Manager who comes with strong experience in the Luxury Wine industry, with proven Luxury and national / key account management sales experience. You will need a detailed understanding of how to develop successful partnerships with Luxury customers, and the confidence and ability to deal with leading industry figures up to MW level, using your commercial acumen, entrepreneurial attitude and leadership skills to influence as and where necessary.

You’ll also need

  • Language skills – including the ability to speak and communicate in German at a high level

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in wine sales or F&B general management at highest level

  • Strong and established relationships across EMEA

  • Extensive contacts in the Luxury Wine industry and strong current relationships

  • Knowledge and capability to understand and leverage TWE winemaking assets

  • High level wine communication skills

  • Hands on experience of working in a winery would be an advantage

  • Exceptional business acumen and ability to manage full P&L

  • Team player at all levels

  • Strong Powerpoint, Excel and other MS package skills
