The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to join our team in Vaughan, Ontario. As a Senior Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for leading HR strategies and initiatives supporting organizational growth and employee development across its North American locations. The role involves strategic leadership, compliance, and fostering a people-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of HR policies, practices, and initiatives across the business.
- Align HR strategies with business objectives, supporting organizational growth and performance.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on organizational design, talent strategy, and workforce planning.
- Lead compensation initiatives including salary benchmarking and pay band development.
- Manage benefits strategy and annual renewals; ensure alignment with employee needs and regional compliance.
- Drive a people-first approach to both employee and candidate experience, ensuring engagement, retention, and employer brand alignment.
- Lead the performance management cycle, including goal setting and compliance with corporate standards.
- Resolve complex employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and recommend action plans.
- Manage and oversee the organization’s payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Ensure full compliance with federal and provincial employment standards laws.
- Oversee Health and Safety initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor HR and Payroll team members, providing guidance and support for professional development.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; CHRL designation preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior-level role.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire HR teams; skilled at mentoring and developing talent.
- Experience supporting multiple business functions and working in various industries, preferably within large, complex organizations, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong Excel and HRIS/reporting skills preferred.
