Position Responsibilities
Working within the development team, the Quality Assurance Specialist will execute core tests for our software products being developed and deployed on Azure & On-Premise environments. The QA specialist will ensure that defects that have made it past our Unit & Integration Tests & our Automated QA Environment are caught before software being released to production. Testing in the production environment is also possible. It is expected that the candidate will develop a deep understanding of our applications. The QA specialist may work in the following manner.
- Perform free-format testing.
- When appropriate develop and execute test cases for new features during development Sprints.
- When appropriate develop and execute regression tests for software releases in production.
- Track and report testing progress during release cycle.
- Participate in the development of automated unit tests.
- Determine migration of manual test cases to automated testing
- Work with the development and configuration management team to ensure that the X2O software is utilizing the latest development test & bug tracking
- Collaborate with developers to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues contributing to enhancement of product quality
- Ensure that product API’s are thoroughly tested and can be relayed upon by our developers, partners and vendors
- Help with defect triage and escalation path between development & support
- Help reproduce problems reported by the support
Qualifications
Position Requirements
- Bachelor degree in software engineering or computer science
- 5+ year’s professional experience in quality assurance within Product oriented companies.
- Experience evolving in Agile/Scrum development cycle, building and delivering high quality software on time.
- Deep understanding of ProAv platforms (Video, Audio, Streaming)
- Deep understanding of Web-Based products deployed on the Cloud & on-premise
- Multi-platform experience an asset: Mac OS, Windows, IOS, Android.
- Knowledge of automated front-end testing tools (Selenium, JMeter, Blazemeter, nUnit)
- Knowledge of software security coding standards required for SOC-2 compliance
- Scripting skills
