- Proficient in all aspects of the Account Manager role including relationship building, implementation, renewals, and oversight of ASG in service delivery.
- Emerging expertise in the GIS value prop and working knowledge of insurance products including but not limited to dental, life, disability, vision, supplemental health, voluntary benefits, specialist healthcare, executive benefits.
- Skilled in all our benefits administration platforms, as well as the full suite of communications capabilities.
- Provides prompt, efficient, high-quality solutions to our broker partners and clients.
- Demonstrates sales skills including strategic thinking, needs-based discovery, face-time discipline and relationship building
- Responsible for optimizing all cases with target MVP/GAOR brokers.
- Responsible for growth of cases that we are already being paid as well as those with carriers that require ADD coverage at renewal.
- Expected to deliver broker results commiserate with our financial modeling, including consolidation of carriers, so we drive upwards of 50% for select/partner carriers.
- Actively owns the case calendar with proactive case management 4-6 months before renewal.
- Capable of managing upwards of 20 cases monthly to drive $5M+ in new business sales annually.
- Fully equipped and expert in all aspects of the GIS toolkit to drive a consultative approach at the case level.
- Able to onboard cases for hand off to AM team, particular during peak season.
- Actively involved in the engagement calendar to help build awareness and strategic growth.
- Responsible for creative campaigns that drive broker engagement and help with change management where needed.
- Expected to "house" with their MVP brokers and be in market for at least 5 face-to-face meetings weekly.
- Expected to cultivate new brokers and onboard at least 2 MVPs before being promoted to RSM, or AE.
Requirements
Required, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable with all methods of communication: in person, phone and email.
- Must be self-motivated to be in market cultivating relationships brokers, customers, partners, etc.,
- Must have the ability to learn quickly.
- The candidate has a sense of urgency and takes pride in their work.
- Must be comfortable in a team environment.
- Must have the ability to articulate solutions to customer service issues.
The qualified candidate should have the following:
- 3+ years of Insurance sales experience is required
- Self-motivated and goal oriented
- Strong organizational, time management and follow-through skills
- Highly proficient in the Microsoft suite, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Undergraduate degree (Preferred, but not required)
- Desire to continually learn new products and services
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
