We are seeking an experienced Electronics Component Level Technician to join our team.
Some of the job responsibilities are:
- Diagnose and repair electronics down to the component level on various PCB assemblies.
- Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics and datasheets.
- Perform soldering and desoldering of SMD (surface-mount) and through-hole components.
- Use equipment such as multimeters and other diagnostic tools to test and troubleshoot electronic circuits.
- Program micros or programmable devices using proper interfaces and development tools as required.
- Perform functional testing of repaired boards to ensure proper operation before reassembly or release.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and test results.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Always follow safety protocols and company standards.
- Keep a clean and organized workstation and handle components with care.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electronic troubleshooting and repair at the component level.
- Hands-on experience soldering and desoldering surface-mount and through-hole components.
- Familiarity with axial, radial, BGA, QFP, and TQFP components is a plus.
- Working knowledge of electronic schematics and circuit analysis.
- Understanding of programming interfaces and firmware loading (preferred but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Effective communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with rework stations or hot air soldering tools.
- Experience with PCB layout software tools.
- Knowledge of common communication protocols.
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with PCB functional testers troubleshooting and design.
Work Conditions:
- Requires extended periods of sitting and use of magnification tools.
- Work with proper safety equipment and practices.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required.
