Position Summary 

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the Distribution, Reinspection and Shipping office area to ensure a safe, productive and timely flow of finished goods material. Responsibilities include leading and coaching work teams to achieve levels of high performance with emphasis on cGMP compliance.  This position supervises the distribution functions including, storage of quarantine finished goods inventories, palletizer operations, manufacturing reinspection, outbound shipping of subassemblies, distribution of finished goods to customers via distribution centers and public warehouses and system interface with the Hi-Rise Warehouse. This position will have project management responsibilities and lead Kaizen teams within the warehouse.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise material movement of finished goods from point of entry at the palletizers through shipment to customers and distribution centers. Coordinate reinspection activity with Manufacturing Quality and execute reinspection plans as outlined.
  • Ensure compliance to with all regulatory guidelines. Assure that warehousing operations follow procedures to ensure consistent production of quality products.  Assure that all material is stored and shipped in accordance with all applicable guidelines. Assure accurate inventory transactions and proper documentation of those transactions
  • Ensure manufacturing needs are satisfied and production operations are not interrupted due to palletizer or Hi Rise system issues. Ensure that customer needs are met by through timely rework, appropriate shipping schedules and timely customer deliveries. 
  • Participate in special projects related to the warehouse. Lead and participate in departmental huddles and lead area 5S programs. Develop and implement Standard Work Instructions for your area. Lead area Kaizen teams.
  • Hire, train, evaluate and develop staff. Promote healthy employee morale.
  • Maintain department budgets within limits.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.  Lead and support area safety teams.
  • Perform Lot comparison inventory investigations. Develop Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA’s) as needed.
  • Perform investigations and write Exception Reports. 
  • Ensure accurate Oracle Order Creation and Billing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, etc.
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in warehouse or manufacturing acquired as a Warehouse or Production Specialist, Supervisor, or similar position required.
  • Some experience in pharmaceutical, food or cosmetic manufacturing is preferred.

Work Environment

  • This is largely a sedentary role. 
  • This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
  • The distribution and reinspection work areas are highly automated.  There are automated palletizers and robots that transport heavy pallets of finished goods and high-speed stacker cranes that store inventory in the Hi rise. This area is also populated with numerous fork trucks that are loading trailers 24/7 each week.
  • Might require occasional lifting; must be able to lift up to 20 lbs unassisted.
  • Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time
